Matthew Pawinski, an Eagle Scout candidate, worked closely with Friends of La Jolla Shores to build a new footpath from Vallecitos into Kellogg Park. Matthew’s goal was to find a way to discourage through traffic across “The Map®”. This will ensure that through traffic will take an alternate route so “The Map®” continues to be a clean, vibrant resource for everyone to enjoy.

“My goal was to improve a place where I have come to play for over a decade,” Pawinski said. “Surfing is my passion and the ocean is my second home.”
