The community pulled together and raised the funds to replace the children’s playground equipment which had been removed by the City as it no longer met specifications. The new playground was designed around the ocean theme of “The Map”®, with “junior lifeguard towers” as a central theme.
The new playground was built by community members. The result…another award-winning project for La Jolla Shores.
